UK Interactive Darts Prices: Where Does Your Money Go Furthest?

Interactive darts can cost as little as £2.50 each for six friends sharing an hour, while the highest tariff in our ten-location UK comparison works out at £16.36 per person per hour. The biggest budgeting question is whether you pay for the lane or for every player.

Our September 2026 price check found the lowest cost in Cleethorpes, followed by Lincoln and Portsmouth. Edinburgh had the highest hourly equivalent in the sample, with London and Cardiff also towards the expensive end. These are prices found at selected venues, not rankings of whole cities.

What is the average price of interactive darts in the UK?

Across our ten selected venues, the average advertised cost was £5.76–£7.84 per person per hour, using six players to split lane hire. The lower figure averages each venue’s lowest listed tariff; the upper figure uses its highest listed tariff for the session compared. This is a small sample average, not a statistically representative UK market average.

For a first budget, that suggests roughly £6–£8 each for the activity in this comparison, before food, drinks, travel and any booking fees. Individual examples sit well outside that band, so check your chosen venue rather than treating the average as a quote.

We compared one published tariff set in each of ten UK places, covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Wherever possible, we used a 60-minute session; two venues sell 55-minute sessions, which we converted to an hourly equivalent. All source pages were checked on 4 September 2026.

Interactive darts prices by city and town

Each row below represents one venue, not a city average. Lane prices assume six people sharing. Per-person prices stay per person; inviting more friends does not automatically reduce them. Click a place name to check the operator’s published tariff.

Exeter and Glasgow vary between weekday and weekend prices. Cardiff and Edinburgh publish price ranges. The Belfast figure is a per-person tariff: its source does not confirm how many people can share one board, so check the allocation when booking a group. None of these figures guarantees availability for a particular date.

Where did we find the cheapest interactive darts?

Cleethorpes had the cheapest six-person option in our sample. The Dolphin & Irish Bar lists its interactive darts lane at £15 for 60 minutes. Split six ways, that is £2.50 each. The venue also sells a separate AR-darts product, so choose the correct activity when comparing prices.

Lincoln and Portsmouth were next at £3.33 each for six sharing. Carousel in Lincoln publishes £20 for a 60-minute lane accommodating up to six. The Guildhall Village in Portsmouth also lists £20 per hour per oche—the playing lane.

Group size changes those numbers. Portsmouth allows up to 12 players, which brings the £20 lane to £1.67 each at full capacity. But the venue recommends four to eight for a livelier pace. The lowest price per head can mean a longer wait between turns.

These are the cheapest examples we verified for this comparison, not proof that no lower price exists elsewhere in the UK. Cleethorpes is a town rather than a city; leaving it out would hide the lowest published price we found.

Where were the most expensive examples?

Edinburgh had the highest upper tariff on a time-adjusted basis: £15 per person for 55 minutes, equivalent to £16.36 per hour. The same page starts at £7 for 55 minutes, so even within this one example the advertised price more than doubles across its range.

London’s selected tariff was £14 per person for an hour. Cardiff’s upper price was £13 for 55 minutes, equivalent to £14.18 per hour. That small reversal matters: Cardiff’s session costs less in cash than the London example, but slightly more per minute at the upper tariff.

For six people, those selected bookings total £90 for 55 minutes in Edinburgh at the upper price, £84 for an hour in London, or £78 for 55 minutes in Cardiff at the upper price. A £15 lane in Cleethorpes costs £15 for the whole group. The gap reflects different charging models as well as different venues; price alone cannot rank atmosphere, games or service.

How long is an interactive darts session?

Allow about an hour for the darts itself. Eight of the ten sessions selected for our comparison are 60 minutes and two are 55 minutes: a mean of 59 minutes and a median of 60. We deliberately chose sessions closest to an hour, so this describes our comparison, not the average duration customers actually book.

Shorter and longer options also exist. The Manchester tariff, for example, includes 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Allow separate time for arrival, getting settled and anything you want to eat or drink afterwards.

An hourly equivalent is a comparison tool, not necessarily a booking you can buy. A £15, 55-minute session still costs £15; £16.36 is simply the equivalent rate for 60 minutes. And six people sharing an hour do not each receive an hour of throwing.

How to get more darts for your money

Compare the total bill for your actual group. A £20 lane costs £10 each for two people, £5 each for four or £3.33 each for six. Filling spare places reduces the cost of fixed lane hire, but it does not create the same saving where the tariff is per person.

Check the day and the duration together. In the Exeter and Glasgow examples, a weekend hour costs £30, compared with £40 for two separate half-hours—a 25% saving for the same total time. Weekday pricing is proportional, at £10 for half an hour or £20 for an hour. Longer is not automatically better value.

Separate darts time from the rest of the night. A package may include food, drinks or another activity. Compare only what your group wants and check how much time is actually allocated to darts. Our figures exclude those extras so an expensive meal package cannot distort the activity comparison.

Check minimum charges before booking for two. The Cardiff and Edinburgh examples require payment for at least four players on Friday and Saturday. That does not change our six-person calculation, but it can materially change a couple’s bill.

How we checked the prices

This is a purposive snapshot of ten clearly stated operator tariffs, drawn from a broader research handoff and rechecked against official venue pages. We selected one venue per place with a usable price and duration. We excluded unresolved conflicting tariffs, packages, membership rates and temporary voucher deals. London uses the Holborn tariff; the conflicting St Mary Axe listings are excluded.

For lane hire, the calculation is session price ÷ six ÷ session hours. For per-person pricing, it is ticket price ÷ session hours. We averaged the unrounded hourly results with equal weight for each venue; rounded figures appear in the table. The two average endpoints are tariff scenarios, not a confidence interval or an estimate of what customers actually spend.

The sample is not exhaustive or weighted by venue numbers, bookings or population. It cannot establish the cheapest or most expensive city overall. Published prices can change, and date-specific checkout prices, fees and availability were not verified. Source links in the table let you check the details before committing.
